At ShopRite’s new store-within-a-store concept “Fresh to Table,” grab-and-go items are in focus.

Fresh to Table debuted at three stores this week, including stateside locations in Greenwich and Burlington and one in Monroe, N.Y.

Sections include Prep & Eat, featuring ready-to-cook items; Heat & Eat, featuring ready-to-heat and serve items; and Grab & Eat, featuring ready-to-eat meals.

Fresh to Table’s One Stop Dinner Shop features five-ingredient meals crafted by ShopRite chefs and dietitians that change weekly. The first week’s menu includes pumpkin soup, turkey-apple grilled cheese, and herb poached salmon.

In the store-within-a-store’s Tasty & Trending section, on-trend and seasonal foods are highlighted to inspire shoppers to try unique and healthy food options. Items change every two weeks.

“‘Fresh to Table’ offers a whole new way to access fresh foods and meals,” said ShopRite parent company Wakefern Food Corp.’s Chief Executive Officer and Chairman Joe Colalillo in a prepared statement. “Whether shoppers are looking for fresh from the oven prepared meals and sides, or want pre-prepped ingredients to make every meal come together easily, this new concept promises to offer an exciting shopping experience that’s fun, fast and delicious.”

“The ‘Fresh to Table’ space is a destination for shoppers looking for a quick snack, those planning to make a gourmet dinner, and everyone in between,” said Chief Customer Officer Steve Henig. “The combination of wholesome, seasonal fresh foods, state-of-the-art technology, and convenience is designed to help our customers find the balanced meals they are looking for.”

The space will also feature new items from ShopRite’s growing own brand portfolio of specialty products, its Bowl & Basket and Wholesome Pantry lines.

The concept is expected to be rolled out to additional ShopRite locations in the coming months.
