Eleven companies from New Jersey are among the 720-plus businesses recognized by Newsweek for putting customers first.
In its sixth annual America’s Best Customer Service list, the publication highlights U.S. companies across 166 categories – ranging from traditional retail to online and service segments – that have consistently provided exceptional customer service.
Within the Garden State, TD Bank was ranked No. 1 in online banking, while Jersey Mike’s Subs was the top fast-casual restaurant chain when it comes to going above and beyond for patrons.
“It’s not surprising that we place a high value on receiving good service. Having consistent, friendly, helpful experiences with an establishment makes it easy to become a loyal customer. We remember and appreciate when someone goes out of their way to help us,” Newsweek Global Editor in Chief Nancy Cooper stated.
To create the compilation, Newsweek and Statista Inc., a leading statistics portal and industry ranking provider, reviewed the results of an independent survey of more than 30,000 U.S. consumers who have either made purchases, used services or gathered information about products or services in the past three years.
The final assessment and rankings were based on how likely consumers are to recommend a brand to friends and family, as well as weighted criteria for the quality of communication, accessibility, range of services, focus and professional competence.
