SUEZ, a Paramus-based provider of environmental services, said May 17 that Gary Albertson was promoted to the position of president, Utility Division for North America, effective immediately.
Most recently, Albertson served as the interim chief operating officer for the Utility Division, where he has led high-performing teams with a strong focus on business strategy, service reliability, operational efficiency and customer care.
“The promotion of Gary highlights the strength of our leadership team as we continue to navigate today’s challenges and opportunities,” said Nadine Leslie, chief executive officer, SUEZ North America. “His experience managing complex operational challenges and partnering cross-functionally will be instrumental in helping SUEZ become the leader in environmental services. As we continue to enhance our capabilities to provide safe and reliable water to our customers, and invest in innovative solutions, we are uniquely positioned for continued growth moving forward.”
“I am looking forward to take on this opportunity,” said Albertson. “As water companies deal with aging infrastructure and water quality challenges, SUEZ is exceptionally well-positioned to develop innovative solutions to meet or exceed the needs of our customers. This is especially important as we work our way through the health pandemic, as customers and businesses depend on us for delivery of life’s most essential resource.”
Albertson is a senior operations and business development executive with more than 30 years of unique and broad utility experience ranging from engineering, technical solutions, capital planning and delivery to project management and business development.
