In a statement, the association said that CareOne has committed to be the 2019 New Jersey statewide sponsor of the Walk to End Alzheimer’s events – the world’s largest way to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research.
Funds raised through the partnership will enhance the Association’s care and support programs, including the 24/7 Helpline and provide educational materials on brain health as well as funds for critical Alzheimer’s disease research and grassroots awareness activities.
In addition, the Alzheimer’s Association will provide services, support and education on brain health and Alzheimer’s disease to CareOne staff, caregivers and early-onset constituents. The sponsorship also includes co-hosting an educational conference to be planned and developed collaboratively later this year.
“With 32 facilities in New Jersey, this commitment from CareOne will move the Alzheimer’s cause forward,” said Cheryl Ricci-Francione, executive director, Alzheimer’s Association Greater New Jersey, in a statement. “Together we will reach more families who need information, resources and guidance as they face an Alzheimer’s diagnosis and caregiving challenges. In addition, funding will support critical research exploring the causes of, and treatments for, Alzheimer’s disease.”
