American Dream’s retail lineup is growing by two more stores.
On Feb. 14, the Meadowlands megamall will open the doors of The ADdress, a first-of-its kind specialty department store curated for “the modest fashion consumer.”
Located in Court D, Level 3, the 55,000-square-foot space will offer the latest trends in women’s fashion, footwear, jewelry, accessories, children’s clothing, home goods and gifts.
The department store will feature sought-after modest brands, offering shoppers a mix of collections and styles to choose from, along with weekly events, fashion shows, personal styling options and customer loyalty programs.
Billed as “the world’s first modest fashion department store,” The ADdress is a concept developed by American Dream in response to growing consumer demand across the tri-state area, according to Chief Executive Officer Don Ghermezian.
“We know the modest trend has seen a global boom in mainstream fashion in recent years,” said Ghermezian. “This is a movement, and these savvy shoppers remain underserved by brick-and-mortar stores. As the first entertainment retail center in the world to offer this groundbreaking shopping experience to consumers seeking more coverage, we are excited to debut the innovative brands, designers, and labels that make the ADdress so unique.”
The opening of The ADdress will be followed by Asian supermarket chain H Mart, which plans to begin welcoming shoppers Feb. 17 at 11 a.m.
Located in Court A, Level 1, the 35,668-square-foot space will offer Asian foods, housewares and essential items, along with a broad range of Western groceries, as well as locally sourced produce, meat and seafood.
The new H Mart includes a food court with various cultural spaces, including: Sang’s Tofu & Grill (Korean cuisine), Curry Don Don (Japanese curry), The Bao Express (Hong Long style dim sum), Wok Bar (Asian fusion), K-Town Hero (Korean sandwich), Gold Miss (mochi doughnuts and hot dogs), Gong Cha (tea), BBQ Chicken (Korean chicken), Jeong’s Noodle (Korean Chinese food) and Tous les Jours (bakery).
Founded 40 years ago in Queens, N.Y., H Mart grew from one single store to nearly 100 locations across the United States. Locally, H Mart can be found in Little Ferry, Paramus, Cherry Hill, Edison, Fort Lee, Leonia and Ridgefield.
To celebrate the opening at American Dream, H Mart will give away thermos mugs and calendars to its rewards members. Customers who spent over $30 will be eligible to receive a free Duft & Doft hand cream, Hello Home slippers or a pack of Hello Kitty paper towels.
There will also be family friendly activities, such as face painting and balloon twisting, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day during the grand opening weekend.
