American Landmark Development said Friday Centurion Union, its collection of 80 luxury apartments, is a definite success story.
Despite having to adopt a digital leasing strategy almost immediately after opening, American Landmark Development was able to complete leasing for the five-story building in downtown Union in record time.
The Elizabeth-based developer teamed with exclusive marketing and leasing agent The Marketing Directors, which signed more than 100 residents who wanted a sophisticated urban lifestyle comparable to Hoboken and Jersey City, but with less congestion and a much more attractive price.
Located at 975 Bonnel Court in the Union County township, Centurion Union has played a role in the transformation of a re-imagined Union Center into one of New Jersey’s most desired live-play downtown districts situated walking distance from restaurants, shops, and contemporary dining and retail services along Stuyvesant and Morris Avenues. New Jersey Transit’s Union Station, which provides service to Newark Penn Station, is less than 10 minutes away, and buses to New York City depart nearby on Morris Avenue.
The fully leased first building offers a mix of luxury one- and two-bedroom homes and a host of modern amenities that include 24-hour controlled access, a fitness center with state-of-the-art cardio and weight-training equipment, game room, resident-only lounge, flexible coworking space, children’s playroom, dog run and onsite parking.
“Demand is on the rise for superior quality rental buildings in outer ring suburbs with tremendous downtown environments and great access to New York City,” said Manuel Fernandez, founder of American Landmark Development. “The overwhelming results speak for themselves. The leasing success of the initial offering will undoubtedly serve as a catalyst as we put the finishing touches on the community’s second phase.”
Construction is moving forward on a four-story building along Stuyvesant Avenue that represents the second phase of this mixed-use development, which American Landmark expects to deliver in the first quarter of 2021.
American Landmark Development is the designated redeveloper of the Stuyvesant Avenue Redevelopment Project, which will ultimately include 300 new residences and approximately 27,000 square feet of retail space housed in four buildings.
