Anthony Piperno has been appointed chief executive officer and president at Berlin-based craft giant A.C. Moore.
He succeeds current CEO Pepe Piperno, who will transition to the role of chairman after a total five decades in the craft industry.
Anthony Piperno rises to the role of CEO from his previous position of chief marketing and merchandising officer, which he held for two years. He began his career with Moorestown craft supplier Sbar’s Inc. in 2005 in the sales and merchandising department. In 2011, Sbar’s acquired A.C. Moore.Throughout his tenure at A.C. Moore, he has spearheaded major investments and developments in the company’s omni-channel offerings, according to the company. Notable are its expansion into new markets in the brick-and-mortar space and the re-launch of sales on the company website.
He’s also the driving force behind A.C. Moore Marketplace, a forum for handmade entrepreneurs.

A.C. Moore employs 5,000 people worldwide at its 142 locations.
