Archer & Greiner PC, one of New Jersey’s largest full-service law firms, is celebrating its 95th anniversary.
Founded in Camden by a trio of jurists, F. Morse Archer Jr., Judge William Boyle and Frederick Greiner, the practice began as an alternative to Philadelphia firms while offering the same caliber of legal services.
Over the years, Archer has continued to open new offices and grow existing practices, providing full-service litigation and transactional legal services to clients ranging from Fortune 100 corporations and small and middle-market companies, to closely held and family-owned businesses.
With more than 175 attorneys spanning nine offices, the firm handles nearly every area of law, including business counseling, labor & employment, real estate, health care, intellectual property, family & matrimonial, personal injury, public finance, tax, trusts & estates, bankruptcy, land use and environmental law.
Archer moved to Haddonfield in 1973, where the firm remained through last year, when it relocated to Voorhees, into a remodeled space at American Water’s former headquarters.
Within New Jersey, Archer also has offices in Hackensack, Princeton and Red Bank. It has locations in Pennsylvania (Philadelphia and Harrisburg), Delaware (Wilmington), Texas (Houston) and New York (Manhattan), as well.
In commenting on the milestone, Deborah Hays, chair of the firm’s board of directors, said, “Much has changed in the legal and business world over the past 95 years. However, the legacy of our founders continues strongly at Archer today and is the cornerstone of the continued growth and success that the firm has been able to achieve.”
“Commitment to our clients, the legal profession, and the communities which we serve is the hallmark of every Archer employee (both past and present). I am grateful to work alongside our talented, diverse and dedicated team every day. And, I am especially thankful to our clients for trusting Archer with all of their ever-evolving legal needs,” Hays continued.
Archer President Christopher Gibson stated, “No firm reaches a 95-year milestone without earning and keeping the trust of the clients it serves and its employees.”
He went on to say, “I’m extremely proud of our team and all that we’ve accomplished over the years. We have an incredibly talented, smart, and dedicated group of attorneys and professional staff, and the core values that have always been the foundation of our firm, such as integrity, commitment, innovation, and service, will be what carry us forward for years to come.”
