Automated parking system company names new CEO, CFO

Boomerang Systems Inc., a designer and manufacturer of an automated parking system called RoboticValet, announced Wednesday it has appointed two new members to its senior leadership team.James Gelly has been appointed CEO and director, succeeding Mark Patterson, who will remain as chairman of the Florham Park-based company’s board of directors. Gelly has more than 25 years of experience in global industrial and technology companies. Prior to Boomerang, he was the chief financial officer at Constellium, Misys plc, Rockwell Automation and Ingersoll-Rand. Before that, he held various leadership roles at Honeywell International and General Motors.

Geoge Gelly has been appointed executive vice president and chief financial officer. Gelly has more than 35 years of experience in information technology, including robotics, software and integration systems. Prior to Boomerang, he was the senior vice president and chief product officer at ID Analytics, a division of LifeLock Inc. Before that, he was director of product delivery at Intuit’s Consumer Group. He also has held various IT leadership positions at UnitedHealth Group, Xerox, Staples, KPMG and Kurt Salmon.

“We are very excited to have James and George join our leadership team,” Patterson said in a prepared statement. “We couldn’t be happier to have recruited individuals who each bring decades of relevant management experience at the highest levels. We believe these additions to our senior management team are crucial in growing the company into a large global enterprise.”
