Principal-owned-and-led global commercial real estate firm Avison Young on Thursday said it named Edward English as principal.
“We’re very pleased to recognize Ed for his numerous accomplishments by naming him a principal in our office,” Jeff Heller, principal and managing director of Avison Young in New Jersey said in a prepared statement. “As a principal-led organization, the Avison Young culture is built on collaboration and taking a longer-term view to meet client needs. Ed has long demonstrated remarkable creativity in his work advising tenants and has played an integral role in the growth of our office and the development of our staff. We congratulate him on this well-deserved promotion.”
In his new role, English will lead a team advising occupiers of space on all aspects of single and multi-location transaction management, including lease renewals, new leases, subleases, purchases, and sales, as well as lease administration, lease audits, tax incentives, project/construction management, and sale-leasebacks.
English has more than 10 years of commercial real estate experience in tenant representation and occupier solutions and has been with the firm since 2017. He was with the former Cresa NJ office before it was acquired by Avison Young.
Since 2012, English’s team has overseen the completion of more than 250 real estate transactions in more than 60 markets throughout New Jersey, the U.S., and Canada. These transactions have included leases, purchases, sales and build-to-suit projects, and have comprised more than 5.4 million square feet of space and more than $560 million in transactional value.
