Barclays announced Wednesday it is moving 500 operations and technology jobs from its 2,000 Delaware positions to the company’s Whippany campus by the end of 2019.
According to the Delaware Business Times, Barclays employees were told about the decision on Wednesday morning, however, were not surprised as the company moved 100 global technology jobs to the Whippany facility in March 2018.
In addition, the company announced Wednesday that a “relatively small number of roles” will be relocated to its Nevada office.
It was also reported that Barclays will offer relocation assistance to those who decide to move, and a full range of transition services including severance and outplacement support will be offered to those who choose to stay.
Delaware Online reported that Barclays will have 1,500 employees in Delaware after the 500 leave.
