Coughlin’s been in the banking industry for nearly four decades, having also served as vice president of Chatham Savings Bank and as controller and corporate secretary of First Savings Bank of New Jersey. Believing that Bayonne was underserved by community banks, Coughlin co-founded Bayonne Community Bank, now BCB Bank, in 2000.

Coughlin is the first New Jersey banking industry member to join the NJCBA board.
