BD acquires Austrian software manufacturer

Medical technology company BD, in Franklin Lakes, announced today it has acquired Cato Software Solutions, of Vienna, Austria.Cato, a software manufacturer, is behind Cato and Chemocato, suites of medication safety solutions for pharmacy medication preparation, physician therapy planning and nurse bedside documentation. The software prevents potential medication errors and associated costs, automates documentation and reduces dosage waste.

Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
