Elizabeth Meltzer has been hired by Bed Bath & Beyond Inc. as senior vice president and general merchandising manager for its bed, bath and home décor categories, effective Nov. 2.
Meltzer will report directly to Executive Vice President and Chief Merchandising Officer Joe Hartsig, and will play a key role the growth of Bed Bath’s product line, overseeing the development of an array of owned brands in the home category starting in 2021.
She will also help accelerate Bed Bath’s strategic sourcing program to drive margin improvements and value for customers.

Meltzer joins the company from The Gap, where she was senior vice president of merchandising. She’s also led merchandising strategies at brands including Loft, Uniqlo, Madewell and Calvin Klein.
