Benjamin Ross Group announces sale of Bergen manufacturing company

Princeton-based mergers and acquisitions/business brokerage firm Benjamin Ross Group this week announced the sale of manufacturing company Freedom Plastics to a private investor.

Established in 2002, Bergen County-based Freedom Plastics is a specialty manufacturer of custom poly bags, which are used in sectors including pharmaceuticals, automotive, food, apparel, bakery, general packaging, and more. The company sells directly to distributors who work with clients that are spread throughout different industries.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Benjamin Ross Group represents business owners hoping to sell their businesses while also leaving their employees and customers in capable hands.

As part of the deal, Benjamin Ross Group performed a valuation of the company, engaged as a business broker, identified a qualified candidate to purchase the business, and secured Small Business Administration financing for the transaction.

I looked at their reviews online and checked out other companies as well, but Benjamin Ross Group caught my eye and Michael Meyer was very recommended,” said Charles Romaniello, owner of Freedom Plastics, in a press release announcing the sale. “He lived up to all his reviews.”
