SNOW Operating, which runs the Mountain Creek Resort in Vernon and owns and operates Big SNOW at American Dream, launched SNOW Partners as a new parent entity that will preside over the company’s various businesses.
“This is a major milestone in the evolution of our growing company. I couldn’t be prouder of our entire team as we continue to build a strong resort operating group, as well as a group of innovative resort service providers with SNOW Operating and SnowCloud.” said Joe Hession, co-founder and CEO of SNOW Partners.
SNOW Partners has hired and elevated several key staff members across its various businesses, including the promotion of Scott Baldassano from general counsel to chief legal officer, Hugh Reynolds from vice president of marketing and sales to chief marketing officer, and Patrick Hession from VP of operations to chief operating officer.
Joining SNOW Partners as chief financial officer is Erik Tlatelpa, joining the company from global fintech SIX Group, and former CFO Mike Sangalli will move into an advisory role with the company.
Within the resort operating division, both Christopher Haggerty and Evan Kovach have been promoted to co-general managers for Mountain Creek. The resort’s hospitality director, Josh Bernstein, has been promoted to VP of hospitality. Christine Vette has been promoted to controller for both Mountain Creek and Big SNOW; and Big SNOW Marketing Manager Trish McLeod has been promoted to director of resorts marketing and sales to oversee the shared-service marketing department for both Mountain Creek and Big SNOW.
In addition, the company established the Joseph P. Hession Foundation, a not-for-profit organization focused on increasing awareness and education related to drug and alcohol addiction. The foundation is named for Joe and Patrick Hession’s father, a recovering alcoholic, who is 45 years sober.
The foundation recently made a $50,000 donation to the Sussex County Center for Prevention and Counseling in support of the Vernon Coalition at its annual appreciation gala held at Mountain Creek on September 20.
“I could not be more excited about these changes and the opportunities they present to our team members, partners and our local community. I am tremendously proud that this restructure is comprised of promotions and appointments of nearly all internal candidates, and I am confident in how each of these team members will set our company up for growth in the future,” Joe Hession said. “Our mission at SNOW Partners is to enhance lives through building lasting connections and we look forward to what the future holds.”
