BioNJ, a 400-member network representing research-based life sciences companies, announced Wednesday the launch of The Academy at BioNJ, a training and development program.According to the organization, the academy, which will operate out of BioNJ’s Trenton location, will “ensure that employers have access to exceptional programs and resources that will serve to keep our New Jersey talent pool contemporary, creative and competitive.”

BioNJ is working with several professional partners at the academy, including BioMentorz, Gilman Performance Systems, Leadership Edge, LifeCollaborative and Rutgers University.

The first program is “From the Laboratory to Leadership.” It will be hosted by Genewiz on Jan. 26, Feb. 9, Feb. 23 and March 9, 2015, in South Plainfield.

The academy will also offer the opportunity for customizing programs up to and including hosting them at a company’s location.

The price of the academy’s programs, which will be open to the public, vary depending on their details. BioNJ members, however, are eligible for discounts.

The project stems from a rebranding of the organization to “The Gateway of Health” earlier this year.
