Moving forward Rutherford-based Boiling Springs Savings Bank, founded in 1939, will be known as Blue Foundry Bank, the company announced Monday.
According to the northern New Jersey financial institution the new name reflects the bank’s reinvention to acknowledge the members it serves in the community in the present-day.

Blue represents a “true blue” attitude and customer-focused culture, the bank said, and foundry was picked to represent its mission as being of, and for, makers through its efforts to build relationships and opportunities.
Blue Foundry offers personal and business banking and lending, financial planning and investment strategy with 17 branches in Bergen, Essex, Morris and Passaic counties.
“Blue Foundry Bank is set to revolutionize banking,” James Nesci, president and chief executive officer of Blue Foundry Bank, said in a prepared statement. “Our bank has always served as more than just a means of providing financial services, and our new name reflects the grit and passion we put into making people, businesses and neighborhoods stronger.
“Where others may see obstacles, we see opportunities,” he added.
