The Bridgewater Shops — a shopping center along Prince Rodgers Avenue in Bridgewater, located on a stretch of road that leads to the Bridgewater Commons shopping mall — added two new tenants, NAI James E. Hanson announced June 22.
The firm said it negotiated leases for retail space with:
- Gong Cha for 1,144 square feet at 1329 Prince Rodgers Ave.
- US Rare Coins and Gold for 1,000 square feet at 1355 Prince Rodgers Ave.
NAI Hanson’s Randy Horning and Darren Lizzack represented the landlord, Cedar Hill Associates LLC, in both transactions, in addition to tenant US Rare Coins and Gold. Sue Ip of RE/MAX represented Gong Cha.
The Bridgewater Shops is comprised of a mix of medical, office, restaurant and retail space that adds up to 42,300 square feet. Its location offers proximity to Routes 22, 78, 202 and 286, as well as exposure to Bridgewater’s more than 40,000 residents — not to mention the more than 300,000 residents of Somerset County.

“There will always be a need for adaptable properties like The Bridgewater Shops within northern New Jersey due to their ability to meet the needs of a variety of tenants within a single property,” Horning said in a statement. “The key is to find that variety and to match high-quality properties with high-quality tenants so both parties find value in the transaction.
“By leveraging our local contacts and marketing abilities, we were able to help secure quality matches and bring these unique businesses to our client’s space,” he continued.
Gong Cha is a provider of quality teas and services with more than 1,650 locations in over 20 counties. US Rare Coins and Gold is making the move to the center from Bridgewater Commons, where it will continue to buy and sell gold, coins and precious metals.
