Budd Lake-based food ingredient supplier KB Ingredients merged with Eurogerm USA, a similar company headquartered in Illinois and led by French company Eurogerm, to create Eurogerm KB LLC, the new company announced June 16.
With the merger, Eurogerm acquires strategic assets for its development in the United States, Canada and the Caribbean. According to the company, the complementary assets and combined expertise of the two companies will increase its efficiencies and responsiveness in support of North American customers.
KB Ingredients’ Budd Lake production and packaging plant will increase Eurogerm’s production and distribution capacities in North America; and Eurogerm USA will bring to the combines company knowledge in corporate social responsibility, research and development, global sourcing, training, regulatory compliance, sensory evaluation.
Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
