Majesco Entertainment is looking for sweet success with its newest Nintendo DS game, ÂCake Mania.ÂEdisonÂs Majesco Entertainment (NasdaqCM: COOL) is looking for sweet success with its newest Nintendo DS game, ÂCake Mania, that places players in the role of a girl trying to re-open her grandparents bakery. The game is based on Sandlot Games original title. The new 80-level edition uses a touch-screen element and features an online component.
“Mania is the key word here, because what starts as a manageable day at the bakery quickly blossoms into a chaotic flurry of customer service, baking, frosting and decorating,” said Ken Gold, MajescoÂs vice president of marketing. “Cake Mania is a natural fit for the Nintendo DS platform,” said Daniel Bernstein, CEO of Sandlot Games. “We are confident that through our partnership with Majesco, baking cakes will be the new rage on the DS in 2007.” Cake Mania will be available in early 2007 and sell for around $19.99.
Last week, Majesco named Jesse Sutton as interim CEO and a member of the companyÂs board of directors. The company continues to search for a permanent replacement. Majesco shares were trading at $1.20 at midday, in the middle of their $0.85-to-$2.58 52-week range.
