Cargo carrier Shipco Transport is moving its global headquarters to Chatham, real estate company The Garibaldi Group announced Wednesday.The transportation and logistics company, which has about 1,900 employees in 70 offices around the world, will utilize the two-building, 25,000-square-foot office complex at 127 Main St. as the home of its senior management team as well as its global headquarters, The Garibaldi Group said.
Shipco will move 15 key executives from its facility in Hoboken to the new site, while maintaining the Hoboken office.
Shipco paid $3.3 million for the Chatham offices, which were sold by Malebu Realty, LLC, The Garibaldi Group said.
Lee Barnes and Peter Blanchard of The Garibaldi Group advised Shipco during the transaction.
