Centrica plc has acquired ENER-G Cogen International Limited, a supplier of combined heat and power solutions, from ENER-G Holdings PLC, it announced Tuesday.ENER-G Rudox Inc., based in Carlstadt, is a subsidiary of ENER-G Cogen, which operates primarily in the U.K., but also has operations in the U.S., Hungary, Italy, the Netherlands and Romania.
“We are excited to bring Centrica’s brand, balance sheet and diverse product line to the U.S. market,” Ryan Goodman, president, ENER-G Rudox, said in a prepared statement.
The acquisition will allow Centrica to form a new international distributed energy and power business.
“We are building an international Distributed Energy & Power business, as demand for CHP products and other distributed energy technologies grow. This acquisition strengthens our delivery capability, both in the UK and internationally.” Iain Conn, CEO of Centrica, said in a prepared statement. “The ENER‐G Cogen team has an impressive track record in delivering both off‐the‐shelf and bespoke solutions for a variety of customers, from initial design through to installation, operation and maintenance. This is an important step forward in accelerating our customer‐facing strategy to deliver what our business customers need.”

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
