Jewelry and accessory store Charming Charlie will close 11 New Jersey locations as part of a nationwide shutdown.
The Houston, Texas retailer filed for Chapter 11 protection in Delaware for the second time in two years on July 11.
Closing its 261 stores will affect more than 3,000 jobs, the Houston Chronicle reported.
The chain’s New Jersey locations include the Deptford mall in Deptford, Freehold Raceway Mall in Freehold, City Place at the Promenade in Edgewater, Mercer Mall in Lawrence Township, Streets of Chester in Chester, Paramus Park in Paramus, Woodbridge Center in Woodbridge, Shoppes at Flemington in Flemington, The Promenade Shoppes at Clifton, Village at Cambridge Crossing in Mount Laurel, and Marlton Square in Marlton.
Charming Charlie expects to liquidate in the next two months, according to court filings.
