Weehawken's Chart House makes OpenTable's top 50 date restaurants

Chart House in Weehawken is one of the 50 best restaurants to go on a date nationwide, according to restaurant reservations app OpenTable.

This is the app’s first-ever list recognizing great date spots. The list is generated from diner reviews collected between Sept. 1, 2018 and Aug. 31, 2019. It was put out in collaboration with dating app Hinge, and a survey from the two found that 86 percent of respondents find it stressful to select the perfect date spot.

“Given the added stress daters face when looking for the right restaurant, we wanted to create a go-to list that offers a restaurant for any date – whether it’s your first or one-thousandth,” said OpenTable Director of Marketing Anna Besse in a statement.

OpenTable reviewers note Chart House for its waterfront location and scenic views, along with how good for a date it is.

Chart House Weehawken is the only restaurant in New Jersey to make the list. It’s joined by restaurants in 20 other states and Washington, D.C.
