The addition of a new tenant at Chatham Plaza will bring the 31,500-square-foot shopping center to full occupancy.

On Feb. 3, Levin Management Corp. said Joinus Nails signed on for a 1,600-square-foot lease at the Morris County property.

The nail salon’s new space – which was previously home to the same kind of business for 30 years – will be fully renovated, according to LMC.

The North Plainfield-based firm serves as leasing and managing agent for Chatham Plaza, which is located on Main Street in the plaza’s namesake town. LMC Leasing Representative Kendal Hand-Freda arranged the lease.

“This business owner is excited to expand her local presence with a brand-new, state-of-the-art salon at Chatham Plaza,” Hand-Freda said in a statement.

The store is Joinus Nail’s second, LMC said, with a location in Summit that has operated for 15 years. The Chatham salon anticipates a spring 2022 opening.

“We are thrilled to accommodate Joinus Nails’ space needs while bringing another high-quality addition to the community,” Hand-Freda added. “Local residents have long appreciated the presence of a nail salon at Chatham Plaza, and we expect this tenant to enjoy tremendous success here.”

Anchored by a 14,200-square-foot CVS Pharmacy, the plaza also recently welcomed a locally owned Italian restaurant and pizzeria, The Shop, which is now open.

According to LMC, the center serves a growing residential population of nearly 67,000 people within a 3-mile radius with an average household income of $245,000.
