Checkpoint Systems appoints CFO

Thorofare-based Checkpoint System Inc. announced Wednesday that it has appointed James M. Lucania as chief financial officer, senior vice president and treasurer, effective immediately.Lucania will report directly to CEO George Babich.

Lucania has been acting chief financial officer since March 19, 2015. He previously served as vice president of finance and treasurer of the company since 2012. Prior to Checkpoint, he was vice president at Miller Buckfire.

“Jim’s performance during the course of the year has proven that he is the appropriate person for this role. Checkpoint and the finance organization will be energized under Jim’s continued leadership,” Babich said in a prepared statement.
