Christine Stearns earns expanded role with Gibbons P.C.

Well-known health care insider Christine Stearns is the new administrative director of Gibbons P.C.’s Trenton office and director of the law firm’s government affairs department.Stearns moved from the New Jersey Business and Industry Association to Gibbons earlier this year and has been a member of Gibbons’ health care team.

She has been selected as one of the 50 most powerful people in health care for the state by NJBIZ for four years.

“With her recent background as an executive with the NJBIA and her extensive engagement with industry organizations and state entities, Christine has experience with key constituencies in New Jersey’s public, private and nonprofit sectors that ideally positions her to manage the administrative and operational functions of our thriving Trenton office,” said Patrick Dunican Jr., chairman and managing director of Gibbons, in a statement.

Stearns also sits on various boards, including the Health Care Administration Board, Samaritan Healthcare & Hospice and the New Jersey Health Care Quality Institute.

“I appreciate the confidence that Gibbons has shown in me. Patrick Dunican, the managing partner of Gibbons P.C., is an outstanding leader and has built the state’s leading lobbying team,” Stearns said. “At this point, health care continues to be my focus. In the remaining weeks of the session, there are a number of key issues that will be at the forefront.”

Recently, Gibbons also announced that two of its directors, Kevin G. Walsh and David J. Pascrell, began serving as co-chairs of the government affairs department. They oversee all areas of the firm’s government relations practice, including client relations, matter management, workflow and staffing.
