Cigna names new president for tristate area

Cigna, of New York, announced Wednesday it named Scott Evelyn as president and general manager for the company’s tristate market, which includes New York, New Jersey and a small portion of southwestern Connecticut, effective Sept. 1.Evelyn presently serves as Cigna’s president and general manager for Florida, a position he has held for more than four years. Prior to that, he held the same title for the company’s Georgia and Alabama markets, the company said.

His responsibilities will include enhancing customer satisfaction through personalized service and helping to improve quality of care by working in collaboration with area heath care professionals. He will be based at Cigna’s offices in Manhattan, according to the release.
