Citigroup, the New York-based financial services company, says it expects more than 40,000 of the company’s employees, their families and friends to participateCitigroup (NYSE: C), the New York-based financial services company, says it expects more than 40,000 of the company’s employees, their families and friends to participate in its first Global Community Day program tomorrow, Saturday, Nov. 18. The volunteer program consists of 800 projects in more than 450 cities across 100 countries. Here in New Jersey, volunteers will be repairing a warehouse that supports individuals with developmental disabilities, sorting donations at a community food bank and building low-income housing, says the company. Shares of Citigroup rose 18 cents to $50.84 this morning.
