Jeffrey Jacobson has joined Drinker Biddle as a partner in its class actions group.
He will practice out of the firm’s New York and Florham Park offices.
Jacobson had been at New York’s Kelley Drye & Warren LLP, where he was co-chair of the firm’s class actions and securities litigation and enforcement practice groups.
Over the past two decades Jacobson worked in the public sector and is a former director of the New Jersey Division of Law and former chief counsel to the New Jersey Attorney General. In those capacities, he led investigations involving consumer protection and data privacy, chaired the attorney general’s Cyber Working Group, and oversaw more than 500 lawyers representing state government agencies in defensive and affirmative litigation.
He focuses his practice on the defense of consumer, privacy and securities class actions, and representation of media, technology and other companies in general commercial litigation.
