After bringing on an industrial leader in April, Colliers is again expanding its New Jersey team with the addition of a vice president in its Woodbridge office.
The global commercial real estate services firm said it appointed Anthony Mazzucca as vice president June 2 to help to support Colliers‘ growth throughout the Garden State.
Mazzucca brings more than four decades of experience to the role, in which the executive focused on multifamily, retail and land sales.
“Anthony has led a legendary career, with his experience spanning across a remarkable number of sectors. Not many can say they’re an expert on as many topics as Anthony is,” Executive Managing Director Dennis Waggner said in a statement. “His expertise … will be invaluable to the Woodbridge office and to Colliers as a whole. We’re thrilled to have him join our team.”
Colliers highlighted some of Mazzucca’s notable deals, including the sale of a 250,000-square-foot shopping center in East Windsor to Kimco for $26 million and arranging a 40-year lease with Target, as well as serving as representation for the sale of two shopping centers in Hopewell Township totaling 230,000 square feet and valued at more than $13 million.
The firm said Mazzucca is working toward completing approvals for two affordable housing properties in the state.
Most recently he served as CEO and managing director of both Blackpoint Realty LLC in Florida and Newfoundland Realty in New Jersey. Over Mazzucca’s more than 40 years with those companies, he worked to develop, lease, transact and manage shopping centers anchored by national tenants, acting as a site consultant to several major supermarket companies, according to Colliers. As president of Blackpoint Group, he led the development of more than $300 million of apartments and retail centers in New Jersey, New York and Florida.
“After a number of years running my own company I have decided to join Colliers International and become part of a major force in commercial real estate,” Mazzucca wrote in a LinkedIn post. “I will be concentrating on land sales, investment sales and commercial leasing. I hope to connect with all my past business connections and make new ones in my new position. New Day.”
Mazzucca was previously named NAIOP Tampa Bay Industrial Developer of the Year in recognition of his great work in the region and is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers. Outside of the sector, he has served as secretary of the board of the New Jersey State Opera and on the Mountainside Board of Education.
Mazzucca’s addition to Colliers’ New Jersey team follows the appointment of Mark Hay as vice president in the industrial practice group of its Parsippany office.
