Community Medical Center in Toms River, an RWJBarnabas Health facility, announced on Thursday that Dr. Meika Neblett was named chief medical officer.
In this position, Neblett will serve as a member of the senior leadership team and will oversee all physician activities throughout Community Medical Center.
She will also serve as the link between the organized independent medical staff and hospital administration and be responsible for maintaining Community Medical Center’s clinical quality.

Board-certified in emergency medicine, Neblett has extensive experience as a senior leader overseeing medical staff. Prior to joining Community Medical Center, she served as chief medical officer and chief quality officer at CarePoint Health – Hoboken University Medical Center. Neblett’s responsibilities included graduate medical dducation, including family practice, podiatry and rotating medical students, as well as patient quality and safety among others.

Neblett is a member of the American College of Physician Executives, the American College of Healthcare Executives and the American College of Emergency Physicians.
