Karen Falcone has joined cloud management company Commvault as vice president of worldwide cloud and service providers.
In the new role, Falcone will be responsible for identifying opportunities for the company and its partners to develop and provide customer solutions, and for executing Commvault’s Cloud and Service Provider strategy. She will report to vice president of Worldwide Alliances Wenceslao Lada.
Falcone most served as vice president of strategic alliances for Sungard AS, most recently working for Sungard Avalability Services’ EMEA Channel organization where, Commvault said, she spearheaded the foundation of an alliance with AWS and Dell|EMC, and globalized the Sungard Availability channel partner program.
“Karen’s role is crucial to helping Commvault grow its presence and leadership in the cloud,” Lada said in a prepared statement. “Her appointment reinforces our continued commitment to cloud and service provider partners and is yet another indicator of how the company is investing heavily in growing cloud revenue with innovations that help customers migrate data – not only to the cloud – but from the cloud and across multi-cloud environments.”
Ahead of the Wednesday’s notice about Falcone, Tinton Falls-based Commvault also recently announced the addition of Carmen Sorice III as vice president of route services, Rick Fairweather as vice president of Americas channels, and Mark Fong as vice president of Asia Pacific channels and alliances.
