Companies partner to offer mobile health communication

Assurance Wireless, of Warren, a federal lifeline assistance program for wireless phone service, on Wednesday announced a partnership with Gold Mobile, a mobile health care solutions provider in Clark, to deliver services to improve provider/patient communication.According to a news release announcing the deal, Assurance Wireless provides a free phone, 250 free voice minutes and 250 free text messages to low-income consumers in more than 40 states. Gold Mobile provides a secure, HIPAA-compliant mobile patient/member engagement and communications service.

The companies said the services are providing a platform to allow insurers and health care systems to manage two-way messaging to all member patients. Terms were not disclosed.
