Detroit-based Compuware is making its sixth acquisition in half as many years.
On Tuesday, Compuware Corp. announced signing a definitive agreement to acquire enterprise data protection, business continuance and storage management solutions provider Innovation Data Processing of Little Falls.
Subject to customary closing conditions, the deal is expected to be completed in the next quarter, Compuware said. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Compuware said the addition of Innovation Data Processing would expand its existing backup and data solutions with an eye toward allowing businesses to leverage modern mainframes more easily and effectively.
“Compuware is the perfect home for Innovation’s products and customers,” said Anthony Mazzone, chief executive officer and founder of the company established in 1972, in a prepared statement. “Compuware has demonstrated a unique understanding of the new challenges mainframe owners face and I believe that this acquisition will best serve the needs of the mainframe storage management worldwide customer base.”
