“Thousands of New Jerseyans rely on the River Line every week, and they deserve to have consistent, reliable service,” Norcross said in a press release. “By connecting two of the most populous New Jersey cities and offering transfers to Philadelphia and Atlantic City, the River Line is a vital artery that allows our regional economy to thrive.”
“Shuttle bus service cannot be more than an emergency remedy, and I strongly urge NJT and Bombardier to swiftly restore safe, full service to the River Line,” Norcross said. “As concert season peaks at BB&T Pavilion and budget deadlines loom in Trenton, it is more important than ever that safe, reliable train service is available for New Jerseyans.”
Norcross requested a briefing on this closure.
