A group of attorneys has left the Roseland firm of Connell Foley LLP to form its own firm, according to a recent announcement.Liza M. Walsh is leading the team of nine former Connell Foley partners, eight associates and a retired federal judge in forming the Newark-based firm of Walsh Pizzi O’Reilly Falanga LLP, Connell Foley said in a news release Friday.
“My partners, associates and I are excited to launch a new chapter in our respective professional careers and wish our former colleagues continued success,” Walsh said in a prepared statement.
The firm is commencing operations Monday, according to the announcement.
“Liza and her team are highly regarded attorneys who have been friends and colleagues for many years,” Philip F. McGovern Jr., managing partner of Connell Foley, said in a statement. “Our best wishes are with them in this new venture.”
Connell Foley, which has 116 lawyers remaining on staff, is one of the largest law firms in New Jersey. It has offices in Roseland, Jersey City and Cherry Hill, as well as in New York and Philadelphia.
