Construction has begun on a new facility in Mount Laurel that will have a special focus on serving veterans.Bancroft Brain Injury Rehabilitation, a provider of programs and support for children and adults with autism, acquired brain injuries, and intellectual or developmental disabilities, is funding the expansion through a $2 million grant from Lynda and Stewart Resnick through The Resnick Foundation.
The new facility will be named the Bancroft Resnick Center.
“We are so excited about the possibilities created by this generous grant. We are looking forward to having the means to provide much needed services to individuals with brain injuries and their loved ones, especially veterans,” said Cynthia Boyer, executive director of Bancroft.
Bancroft said the funding will enable it to expand services to outpatients, including veterans with traumatic brain injury.
“We are deeply grateful to the Resnick Foundation for such a generous show of support for our brain injury program,” said Michelle Gollapalli, chief development officer at Bancroft. “A grant of this magnitude will have a transformational impact and is one of the largest gifts ever received in Bancroft’s history.”
Bancroft has facilities in Cherry Hill, Plainsboro and Brick. Its program provides a wide array of services, treatment options and personalized care, including residential rehabilitation, structured day programs, neuropsychological evaluations, out-patient rehabilitation therapies and home and community-based rehabilitation.
