New Jersey continues to see more and more cannabis dispensaries officially setting up shop, with Harrison’s first legal storefront launching this week.

San Francisco, Calif.-born cannabis brand Cookies expanded its East Coast footprint with its debut New Jersey store Aug. 16 at 331 Angelo Cifelli Drive, right across from Red Bull Arena.

The flagship shop’s menu includes proprietary flower cultivars, pre-rolls and vapes. It also offers glass, accessories and local reserve apparel that pays homage to both the Garden State and the City of Harrison.

Open 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily, the store also prioritizes product education and market guidance to ensure each customer has a unique and customizable experience, according to Cookies.

Grand opening festivities will continue Aug. 20, when the shop hosts a meet-and-greet with Harlem-based legacy seller and hip-hop legend Branson as he celebrates the launch of Harlem’s Finest, a brand he collaborated on with Cookies.

Since its founding in 2010 by rapper-entrepreneur Berner, also known as Gilbert Anthony Milam Jr., and cultivator Jai Chang, Cookies has grown to over 60 retail locations in more than 20 markets across six countries.

In a statement, Berner, the company’s chief executive officer, said, “We are extremely excited about opening our flagship store in New Jersey.”

“Our team has taken their time with attention to detail–not only with the build out of the store, but also with the product, which has gotten more and more dialed in from our work with our cultivation partners in Jersey. I’m blessed to be touring on the East Coast and have the chance to visit the store prior to opening. I can’t wait for our New Jersey community to experience our first Cookies store in New Jersey,” he said.
