Curaleaf Holdings Inc. opened a dispensary in Bordentown Aug. 25, its 109th store nationwide and the first in New Jersey to sell its Select brand cannabis oil products.
The 9,546-square-foot dispensary is located at 191 Route 130, and is the operator’s second location to open this year after Edgewater Park, bringing Curaleaf to New Jersey’s statewide three dispensary limit.
“It has been a privilege to serve New Jersey’s medical community over the past six years, and we look forward to forging new patient connections in Bordentown, generating new economic opportunities and delivering exceptional retail experiences as this market continues to mature,” said Patrik Jonsson, Curaleaf Northeast regional president, in a prepared statement. “We are also excited to expand our Select retail footprint and introduce Select Bites to new patient and consumer audiences.”
In June, Curaleaf announced that it tripled its cultivation capabilities with its new facility in Winslow Township.
On Aug. 19, Jonsson said the following in a prepared statement on the initial rules put out by the Cannabis Regulatory Commission: “The transition to adult-use will not alter our commitment to our medical patients, who have been the heart of our program for the past six years. Our expansion efforts have enabled us to provide our patients with better service with expanded access to the products they need. We will continue to prioritize that the medical program have adequate supply of product, and the industry is prepared to serve the expanded adult use now without any interruption to the medical supply chain.”
Classic Bites, Select’s gummy edible variety, are available in three flavors including passion fruit, strawberry peach and blueberry. Later this year, Select Nano Bites gummies and Select Squeeze THC beverage enhancer will be introduced to the New Jersey market.
Starting Aug. 25, Curaleaf Bordentown will offer swag bags for the first 500 patients through the door and a 20% discount on first purchases throughout the first two weeks of opening.
