Cushman & Wakefield was named the exclusive leasing agent for the newly-rebranded Plaza 1551 in Piscataway. Under new ownership, the building is gearing up for a significant capital improvement campaign.
Cushman & Wakefield’s William O’Keefe, Charles Parmelli and Kelsey Nakamura, based in the commercial real estate services firm’s Morristown office, are heading the assignment on behalf of 1551 Plaza Partners LLC, care of Norden Realty Investments.
“This well-established, locally-based landlord has set out to make Plaza 1551 the preferred location for office tenants in the Piscataway market,” O’Keefe said. “Its plans include renovations in common areas and tenant spaces, along with an aggressive marketing effort aimed at filling the building with businesses looking to establish or grow in the region.”
Located at 1551 S. Washington Ave., the 200,000-square-foot office building has a large block of square footage available with units starting at 7,000 square feet. The four-story building’s ample window line provides plentiful natural light in tenant spaces. Companies located there also enjoy an on-site cafeteria and courtyard seating and on-site property management. Multiple branding opportunities are available, including building façade signage with visibility from Interstate 287.
