Cushman Wakefield names new top N.J. executive

Jessica Perry//December 9, 2013

Cushman & Wakefield has named a new market leader in New Jersey, officially making her the head of the brokerage firm’s three offices in the state.

The company announced the move Monday, though Brennan has been the face of the firm’s operation in the state since the departure of longtime executive Gil Medina. The former executive managing director left in late June to join rival brokerage CBRE.

Now in Cushman’s top management role in the Garden State, Brennan will oversee offices in East Rutherford, Morristown and Edison for one of the world’s largest and oldest real estate services firms. She had risen to become a senior managing director since joining the privately held company in 2005.

The 21-year industry veteran has overseen expansions for each of the three New Jersey offices, according to a news release. Brennan also developed the region’s junior executive training program and served on a committee to launch the initiative nationally.

Prior to joining Cushman & Wakefield, Brennan worked as managing director of brokerage services in CBRE’s Midtown Manhattan office, the news release said. She began her career with C&W as a market research coordinator.
