CVS Health is now offering mental health services at six New Jersey MinuteClinics in Central and South Jersey.
CVS Health added licensed clinical social workers to its MinuteClinic staff at locations in Lawrenceville, Mount Holly Mount Laurel, Marlton, Runnemede and Sewell, and plans to expand the services to more communities later this year.
Through MinuteClinic LCSWs, individuals can receive mental health assessments, referrals, counseling and personalized care plans in-person or via telehealth, with appointments available days, evenings and weekends.
“With the addition of these new services at MinuteClinic, we’re now able to offer the community an innovative, straightforward approach to mental health care counseling,” said CVS Health Vice President and MinuteClinic Chief Nurse Practitioner Officer Angela Patterson in a prepared statement. “The addition of the LCSWs are a key asset supporting CVS Health’s opportunity to provide access to mental health care on the community level at MinuteClinic.”
According to a Drexel University study, many residents report experiencing heightened anxiety and/or depression due to employment issues over the past year. Many residents have also experienced grief during the pandemic.
Services available include an initial assessment, personalized care planning, counseling services for continual support, and navigation & collaboration.
The locations are as follows: 2721 Brunswick Pike, Lawrenceville; 508 High St., Mount Holly; 3110 Route 38, Mount Laurel; 360 Route 73 S., Marlton; 824 N. Black Horse Pike, Runnemede; and 307 Egg Harbor Road, Sewell.
