“As of late, more organizations are realizing the power food has to fuel organizational well-being and enhance the engagement and motivation of employees,” said Jason Leeds, director of innovation for Dartcor Food Services. “We are thrilled to be partnering with Suburban Propane for these exact reasons and are confident that the café remodel paired with a curated dining program designed specifically with their staff in mind will undoubtedly generate buzz amongst their employees and give them a healthy lunch to be excited about.”
Recognizing that its onsite café had become underutilized in recent years, Suburban Propane sought to re-harness the untapped potential of its corporate dining program.
Dartcor’s solutions focus on fostering greater employee satisfaction, participation and productivity, making it an ideal partner to oversee the creation of Suburban Propane’s new, contemporary and inviting cafeteria, which is scheduled for completion by the end of the year.
With Dartcor involved in the new café’s configuration, menu and personnel, Suburban Propane is confident it will increase employee engagement, bolster morale and enhance its corporate culture, leaving a positive impact on the health and well-being of the central support team.
While construction on the updated café is underway, Dartcor will host several special events to engage Suburban Propane’s employees, introduce them to the new corporate dining experience and help bring them together as they return to a post-pandemic working environment. This will include various company-sponsored events featuring creative, high-quality, healthy food.
Dartcor’s fresh, locally sourced ingredients create new opportunities for Suburban Propane to lower its carbon footprint through recycling, furthering the company’s Go Green initiative.
“Our cafeteria was not getting the attention it deserved for years, but we knew it had potential to bring our employees together,” explained Daniel Bloomstein, vice president and controller of Suburban Propane. “We first approached Dartcor for advice, but after lengthy conversations with multiple players in the industry, soon realized that they were the ideal partner to deliver the customized, gourmet food services we were searching for. This is an investment in the well-being of our employees, and we are incredibly proud and excited to welcome Dartcor to the Suburban Propane family.”
