IDT plans spinoff; expanded cloud access; a $150 million nuclear contract.
Newark-based IDT Corp., through its Genie Energy Ltd. subsidiary, filed an initial registration statement related to the anticipated spinoff of Genie to IDT stockholders. IDT expects to execute the spinoff in October.

GE Hitachi Nuclear Energy on Monday announced it was awarded a contract worth nearly $150 million by Illinois-based Exelon Nuclear to ensure the performance of the utility’s entire fleet of boiling water reactor nuclear power plants in Illinois, Pennsylvania and New Jersey, including Oyster Creek Generating Station, in Lacey. The agreement is effective immediately, and runs through completion of the spring outage season in 2015.
