New drug, technology chief, lab test.Wayne-based Bayer HealthCare Thursday announced it submitted a new drug application to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for a treatment of certain gastrointestinal tumors. Onyx Pharmaceuticals, in South San Francisco, Calif., will promote the drug jointly with Bayer in the United States.

Crum & Forster, of Morristown, announced Thursday that Ahmed Yaknour has been named chief technology officer. He retains his position as vice president and chief information officer for Seneca Insurance, a Crum & Forster subsidiary in New York.

Quest Diagnostics, in Madison, announced the availability of a new laboratory test that identifies molecular changes to cervical cells that increase the likelihood a woman may develop cervical cancer.
