PDI signs marketing agreement; new headquarters for insurer; utility seeks rate increase.

PDI Inc. announced Monday that, through a newly formed business unit, Interpace BioPharma LLC, it has entered into a two-and-a-half-year agreement with a pharmaceutical company to market in the United States and its territories a treatment for pain of the knee. The agreement is expected to generate approximately $10 million of revenues to the Parsippany company in 2011, and $55 million over the life of the contract.

AmeriHealth New Jersey announced Friday that it has centralized its headquarters in Cranbury. The health insurer previously had two main offices located in Mount Laurel and the Iselin section of Woodbridge. The company’s new office is located just off Exit 8A on the New Jersey Turnpike, at Matrix Corporate Office Park, 259 Prospect Plains Road.

With a new water treatment plant and other critical infrastructure projects totaling approximately $300 million, New Jersey American Water, in Voorhees, has filed a petition with the Board of Public Utilities for new rates, the utility announced Friday. If approved, the cost of a gallon of water will still be less than a penny, and a customer’s average monthly water bill would increase by 25 cents per day.
