Bank merger approved; new café in Secaucus; law firm expansion.

State Bancorp Inc., parent company of State Bank of Long Island, reported Monday that the company’s stockholders approved the merger of State Bancorp with, and into, Valley National Bancorp.

Panera Bread announced Monday it will open a café at Harmon Meadow, in Secaucus. The space is leased by Secaucus-based Hartz Mountain Industries.

The international law firm Greenberg Traurig LLP announced that Wendy Johnson Lario, Kristine J. Feher, Micala Campbell Robinson and Kristy L. Grazioso have joined the firm’s Florham Park office in the labor and employment practice. All four were attorneys at Day Pitney LLP.
