Hylan’s new chief financial officer brings more than three decades of finance experience to the role — including 10 years right at Hylan.
On June 2, the Holmdel-based company – which provides specialized communications engineering, construction and infrastructure services – announced the CFO position went to Crystal DeNatale, who worked for Hylan as controller and chief financial officer from 1994 until it relocated to New Jersey in 2004.
DeNatale will oversee financial operations at all four Hylan divisions, including Hylan Datacom & Electrical, Hylan West, Down Under Construction and Western Utility.
“Crystal has been a valued member of the Hylan family for many years,” Robert DiLeo, Hylan CEO, said in a statement. “We were thrilled when we learned there was an opportunity to bring Crystal back into the Hylan family. Her finance experience and knowledge are indeed an asset to Hylan, and our team looks forward to working with her again.”
In addition to her previous time at Hylan, DeNatale – whose 30 years of experience is mostly in the construction industry – served as chief administrative officer at Century America for the past 15 years and has also held various administrative positions in the public and private sectors. A certified public accountant, DeNatale earned her bachelor’s degree in accounting from Ferris State University as well as her CPA.
“I’m excited to be back at Hylan, and it was amazing to see so many familiar faces when I walked through the doors,” DeNatale said. “At Hylan, it’s always been about working together toward a shared goal. I look forward to helping bring the operations and accounting aspects of the business together even further as we continue to align that mission across the divisions.”
Hylan was founded as Hylan Datacom & Electrical more than 60 years ago in New York City. The company now has offices and facilities in New York, New Jersey, Arizona, California, Illinois, Iowa, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Texas, Utah, Texas and Virginia.
